Blackcurrant, peach, honey and raisins

Tucked away in the upper reaches of the beautiful Juanambú Canyon, the town of Pompeyá is so small, its narrow streets can’t be found in google maps. The town, however, sits at a major crossroads —where the tropical climate of the Amazons meets the cold winds of the Andes. Altitude, along with climate, play an enormous role in the unique profiles of the coffee grown here. At 2200 meters above sea level, the cold temperatures lead to slow ripening, denser coffee beans. The result is an exceptional cup of coffee, with notes of blackcurrant, peach honey and raisins.
